Rick Prieto is a former professional baseball player having played 13 years in organized baseball. Rick’s career has yielded him 3 Championship rings, a league MVP, and 6 time All Star accolade. He has been under the direction of some of the best managers, coaches, hitting instructors, and trainers in the game. Rick entered his coaching career after retirement in 2005.
He has since successfully helped a multitude of student athletes continue their career beyond high school to the collegiate and professional baseball levels. Rick understands the science based model of the modern
day baseball approach and integrates it with his knowledge of seasoned, proven teachings which creates the ultimate player blueprint. His underlying passion is helping his students foster and continue their love for the game while advancing their skills.
Max (Carrollton High School) has established himself as a standout catcher. As a sophomore, he caught every inning for the varsity Trojan squad, was voted Defensive MVP, and earned All-District honors in the highly competitive Class 3, District 15.
His biggest highlight – throwing out 21 base runners in one season, tying him for 3rd all-time in the MSHSAA record books! He added 3 pickoffs while leading his pitching staff with poise and confidence.
A dedicated two-sport athlete, Max also plays football, powerlifts (breaking his school’s bench press record), and has played 4 years with PRIME Baseball. Off the field, he assists Rick in Winter Workshops and mentors younger players.
His work ethic, leadership, and catching expertise make him a huge asset to youth and junior high athletes.
