Our workshops are one of the most popular programs at PPA — a high-energy, group training option designed for athletes of all skill levels. Whether your athlete is just starting out, or they’re chasing a varsity or college roster spot, our workshops deliver the coaching, reps, and environment they need to improve.
Train Smarter, Play Stronger
Why Athletes Love Workshops
All Levels Welcome – Beginners learn the fundamentals, advanced players sharpen their edge, and everyone gets better.
Elite Instruction – Each session is led by Rick Prieto and our staff, providing the same technical coaching as private lessons.
Affordable & Accessible – Perfect for families who want consistent training without the cost of private lessons.
Game-Speed Training – Every rep and drill is designed to translate directly into confidence and results on the field.
Growth Through Failure – Athletes are encouraged to try, miss, and learn. Mistakes are part of the process — and every “failure” is a step toward real improvement.
Community & Motivation – Athletes thrive in the energy of training alongside peers — pushing each other to improve while building friendships.

Parents often choose workshops for athletes who don’t take private lessons — and are amazed by the progress. Our coaches create a space where athletes are challenged, supported, and allowed to make mistakes so they can grow into confident, skilled players.
Winter Workshops are a program designed to enhance a multitude of aspects. Some of those areas are: hitting, fielding, speed & agility, grip strength, and arm care/maintenance. We utilize video analysis to help the athletes visualize changes being made for a more in depth understanding of mechanics. Workshops are divided up in age appropriate groups according to sport & developmental abilities. Each group will meet two times a week for 4 weeks in a month. Groups are limited in size so more individualized attention can be given to each student. Groups will fill quickly. Once maximum capacity is met, a waiting list will begin. Schedules are posted & registration is open for November through February.
